This elegant blue and white porcelain bowl is a fine 1980s reproduction in the style of the Ming dynasty Xuande period (宣德). Decorated with a bold okra flower motif (秋葵纹) in deep cobalt blue, the exterior features a classic composition evoking traditional Chinese botanical symbolism.
Inside, the bowl reveals a subtly incised dragon pattern (暗刻龙纹), visible under the glaze and enhanced by the play of light across its surface—an homage to imperial design aesthetics. The interior rim is bordered with a geometric band, adding structure and visual balance to the piece.
The base bears the “仿大明宣德年制” mark, indicating it was made in imitation of Xuande-period wares. This type of reproduction was popular among collectors and decorative arts producers during the late 20th century.
